The Community Garden Club of Camas Washougal is located in eastern Clark County, Southwest Washington State, USA.

Mission

The Garden Club’s objectives are:
  1. To stimulate knowledge and love of gardening among its members and the community.
  2. To promote responsible stewardship of the environment.
  3. To operate as a non-profit organization under section 501(c)(4) of the IRS Revenue Code.
  4. To promote fun and friendship among members.

Overview

Established over 69 years ago, the Community Garden Club of Camas and Washougal, Washington state, has devoted its activities to the joys of gardening in our maritime climate where vegetation flourishes year-round.

Description

The Garden Club is dedicated to newcomers and veterans who can come together to learn, teach and share their love of gardening. If you are new to gardening or the Pacific Northwest, our members will enthusiastically share their successes and failures with you.

Meeting Dates and Times

Garden club meetings are held the 4th Wednesday of the month, August through May (excepting December) at 1pm in the Camas Community Center, 1718 SE 7th Avenue, Camas, WA 98607.   Put another way, we do NOT have general monthly meetings during June, July or December.

General Information

Membership is open to all. The Club is a non-profit. (Special NOTE: When the USA Thanksgiving Holiday occurs in the same week as the club’s November meeting, the club meets the week BEFORE to avoid conflict.)

Our meetings include presentations such as: Native Plants, Landscaping, Composting, Pest & Disease Identification & Control, Container Gardening, Lawn Care, Organic Gardening, Flower Arranging, Perennial Beds and Garden Art. The club also has a long history of philanthropy including donations of goods and time to local charities, local scholarships and grants, libraries and community gardens. Our main fund raiser is our Annual Plant Sale each spring.

Member Application Form

Application forms are available at every club meeting and the annual Plant Sale.   You may also print out the form at the bottom of this page, fill it out and mail it to the club’s post office or bring it along when you attend a future meeting.  NOTE:  You do NOT need to be a member of the club to attend meetings and listen to our speakers!
