Join us for a 30-minute informative lesson on the proper care and maintenance of your garden tools. Bring a favorite gardening tool that you would like to know how to care for. Stan will bring a tool, likely a hand clipper, he’ll demonstrate with.
The presentation starts around 1:30pm and lasts about a half an hour including Q&A. A handout will be offered with list of useful materials needed.
Stan Bunce – Bio:
Stan’s early college training was as a professional Forester. He also spent summers as a smoke-chaser for the US Forest Service. Properly cared-for cutting tools, axes and saws were essential for doing these jobs safely and efficiently.
Stan became a Master Gardener in California in 2013 and Washington in 2020 (WSU). Sharp and well cared for gardening tools require the same attention as professional tools for your comfort and safety. It’s worth the extra time and effort.
Our meetings are free and open to the public. Meetings, times and locations are subject to change. Unless otherwise noted, meetings generally begin at 1pm and speakers begin at 1:30pm at the Camas Community Center, 1718 SE 7th Ave., Camas, WA 98607. If you are interested, you can also join the club at any of our meetings.
