Thank you for coming to our annual Plant Sale fund raiser!
We look forward to seeing you next year!
Because of your patronage at our annual sales, we’ve been able to fund Grants for wonderful programs developed by local teachers in the twin communities of Camas and Washougal.
Some of the programs funded this year include:
- adding more Pacific northwest native plants in the “Native Plant Garden” as part of the living garden used for the Lewis & Clark curriculum at a middle school,
- purchasing book series about gardening and food production for an elementary grade school’s library,
- planting extra-tough grass for the outdoor classroom lawn area where elementary students learn about insects and plants in the surrounding garden, and
- pre-school gardens that will provide a tiny garden plot for each pre-schooler to plant, grow and eat food from their own work.
Remember, too, all our general club meetings and speakers are free and open to the public. If you’d care to join our club, or just learn more about us, please check out our web site at:
May 25th @ 1pm is our last General Club meeting until August 24th, at 1pm. We have no meetings in June or July as we are all busy in our own gardens!
Again, thank you and see you at next spring’s annual Plant Sale!
