The Community Garden Club of Camas/Washougal‘s General Meeting on April 22, 1-3pm, is all about getting ready for our annual PLANT SALE that happens next month!
There is NO SPEAKER at this garden club meeting and it is geared towards club members, not the general public. This preparation and planning meeting is held in our usual MEETING location – the Camas Community Center’s Ballroom, 1718 SE 7th Ave., Camas, WA 98607.
Our Plant Sale NEXT Month:
We encourage you to MARK YOUR CALENDARS for NEXT MONTH, May 16, 2026, 9am-2pm, when our annual PLANT SALE TAKES place. Located in the Zion Lutheran Church’s “A” frame annex building in downtown Camas, across from the Safeway on the corner of 3rd & Garfield — 824 NE 4th Avenue, Camas.
We have indoor shopping and off street parking in the church’s parking lot.
We sell thousands of plants we’ve grown from our own homes and gardens, so, you know they’ll do well here! The plants are nurtured in top potting soil, and cost a fraction of what you would pay retail.
No wagons or pets (except service animals) allowed in the building, but, you may “park” your plants in our “holding” area while you shop.
WE are NOT the “Camas Plant & Garden Fair”:
Please note – we are NOT part of the big and absolutely fabulous “Camas Plant & Garden Fair” – which takes place May 9, 9am-4pm, in downtown Camas – it is so big they actually block off streets to cars, too. THEIR LINK: https://cwplantfair.org/
About the Garden Club:
CGCCW is a non-profit 501c(4) organization with 95 members. We focus our Plant Sale proceeds on supporting local gardening education, mostly, but not exclusively, through grants to local schools K-12. We also help beautify and enhance the community with our gardening efforts in public places such as the Camas Post Office’s rhododendrons and daffodils, a bench to rest on at Crown Park, Parker’s Landing’s roses, and the Washougal Waterfront’s thousands of daffodils along the trail, and more.
Become a Member:
If you’ve been thinking about joining the club, you may do so at the Plant Sale on May 16th, or at the May 27th General meeting (it’s a potluck!) before the club goes on public hiatus until our FIRST meeting of fiscal year 2026-2027, on August 26th. Meetings are always 1-3pm, at the Camas Community Center’s Ballroom, unless otherwise noted.
Becoming a member of the club has some great perks! Throughout the year, club members go on great field trips to public and private gardens and we do lots of other fun garden events. Which is why we don’t have meetings June, July or December.
