The Community Garden Club of Camas / Washougal is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026 Community Grant Program, awarding a total of $3,500 through eight grants to local schools and community organizations.
These grants support gardening, environmental education, and hands-on learning projects that enrich the lives of students and community members throughout Camas and Washougal.
“Because of the hard work and dedication of our members, we are able to give back to our community in meaningful ways,” said Diana Hogg, President of the Community Garden Club of Camas/Washougal. “We are proud to support programs that inspire learning, creativity, and a lifelong connection to gardening and the natural world.”
The club’s primary fundraiser is its annual plant sale, which will be held on May 16, 2026. Proceeds from the sale directly support the community grant program and the club’s educational outreach efforts.

- Camas Community Garden — $129.37
- Hayes Freedom High School — $735.44
- Opus School of the Arts — $415
- Interfaith Treasure House (Back Pack Program) — $500
- Hathaway Elementary School — $400
- Washougal High School — $600
- Columbia River Gorge Elementary School — $400
- Cape Horn Skye Elementary School — $320.19
“Our annual plant sale not only brings gardeners together, it allows us to reinvest directly into our community,” Hogg added. “Every purchase helps fund projects that grow curiosity, stewardship, and opportunity.”
