Come join the “Community Garden Club of Camas/Washougal” for an in person, free “bokashi composting”introduction and demonstration by Jen Posiva on October 22, 1pm-ish, at the Community Center of Camas, 1718 SE 7th Ave, Camas, WA in the “ballroom”.
“Discover how to turn your food scraps into nutrient-rich soil – even in the smallest of yards! In this hands-on class, she will introduce you to bokashi composting: a simple, mess-free method that lets you compost nearly all food waste, including cooked food, meat, and dairy.
“You’ll get a chance to participate in the demo and learn how to load a bokashi bin, what a finished bokashi bin looks like, and how to build a bokashi soil factory using a simple potted planter. A discreet setup that even the pickiest neighbor or association won’t notice!
“Feel free to bring a small container of refrigerated food scraps to take part in the live demo and some gloves to help build a soil factory.”
