Join us February 26, 2025, 1pm-ish, when our speaker, Karen Palmer, a local Clark County Master Gardener for the past 25 years, will teach you “The Resilient Yard: how to mitigate the effects of climate change in your own yard”.
This presentation is for homeowners who want to know what simple steps they can take in designing and maintaining their yard to battle climate change. The presentation is broken down into sections on climate change, lawn maintenance, and garden bed design.
As a master gardener, Karen specializes in education on food production (vegetables and fruit). She recently joined a WSU Climate Action Team to help educate homeowners on steps they can take in their own yard to mitigate the effects of climate change.
The club meeting runs from 1-3pm. Speakers’ presentations generally starts a bit after 1pm; the club’s meeting follows.
The public is welcome to attend any of the club’s General Meetings and speaker presentations for free. Anyone may join the club with full membership privileges for $12/year.
