Our October 23 speaker is Melissa Brown and the topic is “Sustainable Landscaping”.
“When your plants are happy and healthy your home landscape can thrive without pesticides or synthetic fertilizers as well as keep weeds at bay.”
Melissa Brown, a Master Gardener volunteer from WSU Extension Clark County, will share approaches to maximize success of your landscape plants. You can achieve an aesthetically pleasing garden that is in balance with nature as well as save time and money.
Melissa Brown lives in Vancouver. She returned to the PNW in 2020 after nearly 30 years in Indiana. Gardening has been part of her heritage from childhood, she now gardens almost exclusively with native plants. She learned of the Master Gardener program in the early 1990s and is thrilled to be a participant now, in the home state of the concept.
Remember, all speaker presentations are FREE to the public – you do not need to be a member to attend. Meetings are 1-3pm, unless otherwise noted. Speakers generally begin sometime between 1pm and 1:30pm.
Our regular meetings take place at Camas Community Center, Ballroom, 1718 SE 7th Avenue, Camas, WA 98607.
