The hardy members of the Community Garden Club of Camas/Washougal completed planting 750 more daffodil bulbs at the Washougal Waterfront Park and trailhead at 56 S. 1st, Washougal, Washington last weekend.
Nearly 6000 bulbs are beginning to POP up – Feb 12, 2023!
This lovely public park is on the north side of the Columbia River and on a clear day has a fabulous view of Mt. Hood, Oregon, too.
Here are a few pix of just some of the crew who planted this fall’s batch – many more helped than shown – and some pix of what you can expect to see when you visit the park and trailhead.
This year, the plant auger attached to a powerful electric drill was VERY popular as the somewhat rocky ground was surprisingly dry in spite of the heavy rains the week before.
Anyone may join our club and attend our presentations for free! For more info about the club, check our website and Facebook page.
