Plant of the month – Hardy Fuchsia

HardyFuchsia_Sep2015_325hAt the left is my most favorite hardy fuchsia.
If you don’t have this carefree plant in your garden, you might like to try one. They live through the winter, begin blooming in late summer until frost, don’t need any staking or deadheading. Plant it in the sun, water it and watch the hummingbirds feast.

My friend who lives at the Oregon coast, sticks a cutting right in the ground for more plants. I’m going to try that too.
