One of our members who lives in Camas (WA, USA) has this message:
“The good news is this: my day lilies are up 2 inches and maybe yours are too.”
“The bad news is that the slugs are out nibbling. Some pet safe slug bait will work now because they are hungry. I find that it doesn’t work so well later in the summer but now it’s very effective. Put it out the sooner the better.”
You can also go out after dark with a flashlight and gloves, snips or other weapon of choice, and dispatch them directly. 🙂
